Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Scope of the Policy and Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all bookings and purchases made through stagecorely for specialised courses in live production decks and control rooms. These include training in multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy covers both individual course enrolments and group bookings where applicable, whether delivered online or in person within the United Kingdom. It does not extend to third-party services or products purchased separately from our training programmes.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Course fees are displayed clearly at the point of booking. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as certification documents, extended access to recorded sessions, or printed course materials. Any such charges will be itemised before payment is authorised. Prices are subject to change but the fee confirmed at the time of booking remains fixed for that enrolment.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital payment platforms. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways to protect cardholder data. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of booking details. In the event of a declined payment, the booking will not be confirmed until a successful transaction is completed. stagecorely does not store full payment card details on its systems.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed once you receive a written confirmation email from stagecorely following successful payment. This email contains your enrolment details, course schedule, and access instructions. Until this confirmation is issued, no contract exists and any provisional booking may be cancelled without liability. For corporate or group bookings, a signed agreement may be required in addition to payment confirmation.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which you may cancel without reason. This right does not apply once digital course content has been accessed or downloaded, or once an in-person session has begun. For services scheduled to start within the cooling-off period, cancellation must be notified before access commences to retain full refund eligibility.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for cancellations made within the 14-day cooling-off period provided no course materials have been accessed. Enrolments cancelled after this period or after content access are generally non-refundable. Non-refundable items include partial attendance, missed sessions, and any promotional or discounted rates where the discount was conditional on full attendance. Refunds will not be issued for changes in personal circumstances after the cooling-off period has expired.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page or by email to [email protected]. Your request must include your full name, booking reference number, course title, date of enrolment, and a clear statement of the reason for cancellation. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and provide a unique reference for your claim.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision

Each refund request is reviewed against the eligibility criteria set out in this policy. We will notify you of our decision within 10 working days of receiving a complete request. If approved, you will receive confirmation of the refund amount and expected processing timeline. If rejected, we will explain the specific reasons and outline any available appeal process or alternative options such as course transfer.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method wherever possible. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days from approval, although bank transfer refunds may take up to 14 days to appear in your account depending on your financial institution. You will receive email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Services

Because our courses involve digital content and live instruction, the 14-day cooling-off period ends as soon as you access any online materials or attend the first session. Subscriptions or multi-module programmes are treated as single contracts; partial refunds for unused modules are not available after access has begun. Promotional offers are subject to the same rules and cannot be converted to cash refunds.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

In the event of a failed payment, we will attempt to contact you using the details provided. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded automatically where verified. Chargeback requests are treated as refund claims and must still follow our documented procedure. Any suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and may result in immediate account suspension pending investigation.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You retain the right to pursue remedies through the courts or alternative dispute resolution if you believe your rights have been infringed.
